LAMB JALFREZI




Ingredients
1 tsp cumin seeds
1 tsp black mustard seeds 1 tsp fenugreek seeds
2 tsp garam masala 2 tsp chili powder
1 lb 8 oz / 650 g lamb, from the leg; roughly chopped
4 tbsp clarified butter or oil
2 onions, finely sliced into rings 1 green bell pepper, deseeded and sliced

Method : Prep and cook time: 25 min plus 1 hr. to marinate
1.     Mix the cumin seeds, mustard seeds, fenugreek seeds, garam masala and chili powder together and , coat the lamb with the mixture. Leave to marinate for at least 1 hour
2.     Heat the oil in a wide skillet and fry the onion until soft but not brown.
3.     Add the meat and the marinade, fry over a high heat for 5 minutes, stirring all the time, then add the green bell pepper and cook for 3 minutes or until the lamb is cooked through and the peppers are tender. Serve with rice.
